Settings

Learn which basic settings every data source has and where to configure the source-specific connection.

What are the settings for?

Every data source has general settings for its name, connection type and the way Nifelo processes the supplied product data.

The connection differs by source. A webshop uses a store address and secure authorization, while CSV, JSON and XML usually use a file or feed URL.

Data source name

Use a short, recognizable name, such as the webshop, supplier, market or file name. It is only visible in Nifelo.

Type and connection

  • Webshop connection: connect a webshop such as Shopify using its permanent store address and authorization.
  • Feed URL: enter the address where Nifelo can retrieve a CSV, JSON or XML file.
  • File: upload a file when no permanent URL is available.

The guide for the selected source type explains the required URL, file structure, access and additional fields.

Target language

The target language determines the project language in which Nifelo processes the data. It does not automatically translate source data; translation and AI enrichment are configured separately.

Saving and importing

Saving stores the configuration but does not start an import. Test the connection where possible and then run the first import manually.

Continue with your source type

Open your source type in the menu for its specific connection instructions. Shopify → Settings, for example, explains the .myshopify.com domain, connecting, reconnecting and testing the connection.
